Secret Creek/Colorado Yurt and Rainier Outdoor each have more then 40 years of experience. Our yurts are engineered to meet or exceed International Building Codes. We use the strongest materials available to provide the best protection against Hawai’i’s significant environmental challenges (High UV, high winds, earthquakes, salt air, heavy rains, hurricanes, etc). We provide assistance with all phases using licensed contractors.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR HAWAII’S CLIMATE

  • Roof & Wall Insulation to protect against heat, humidity and mold
  • Bronzed Dome reduces heat gain and keeps your yurt about eight degrees cooler than a clear dome
  • Operable Dome – allows you to easily raise the yurt dome from floor level using a hand-held winding brace. This is the number one option for cooling the yurt
  • Perimeter Studs for strong wind resistance (required for permitting)
  • Built-in Gutters for catchment systems (only on Secret Creek/Colorado Yurts, Tropical Design)
